2-26-17 LOPPET UPDATE: The trails look great! We have weathered the warmup and expect to get the groomer revved up later today as the snow firms up a bit. We will continue to update the conditions and any course changes throughout the week. Sign up on Skireg.com or contact us via email or phone 207-864-4309.

We've weathered the warmup and expect to get the groomer out later today as we wait for the trails to firm up a bit. Light snow expected today, and the temps have dipped below the freezing mark as we get back to normal winter weather trailside. As the trails are still soft, there is no biking today- best for classic or snowshoe :)

Small and big kids alike will love the Gnome Home Roam!
Grab a map at the yurt and head out to find these little creatures!  Moose and deer seen this past week on Upper Pumphouse and View! Just a reminder, please keep your distance from our big friends, they are wild animals!

Open today for:
Classic Ski: Yes

Skate Ski: Yes
Snowshoe: Yes
Bikes: No, too soft today

Another mention online! Flipkey writes that the Trails Center is a must visit in Rangeley :)

Rumor has it that the gnomes are traveling from far and wide to build their 'tiny houses' at the Trails Center! New homes have sprung up on Geneva and off the Lake Trail near Saddleback Lake! A big thank you to the RLRS Outing Club, who have assisted these little creatures as they move in. Pick up a Gnome Roam map at the yurt and head out on a search for these special creatures- each gnome was handcrafted by local students and artists at the Rangeley Lakes Regional School.

A reminder that all trails are now closed to walking!

Season passes are available at the yurt or via form mail in  -  get yours today!

The fat bikes have landed! New this year we will have two fat bikes for rent at the yurt thanks to our local bike shop AJs Fat Bikes! We have access to rentals for up to ten bikers, just let us know a bit ahead  so we can get them up to the yurt :) The fat bike loop is about 11K or 6.8 miles long, and will be on Tote, Pipeline, Nats Alley and Pumphouse. These are our widest trails and there should be plenty of width for all. Fat bikes should always yield to skiers and snowshoers. The bike lane is located on the side of the trail opposite from the classic track to preserve the track for classic skiers. Riding in warm weather and/or soft snow conditions create wheel ruts in the trails.  If you are leaving a rut, or it is difficult to bike, the trail is too soft for biking and you should try another time.
